Your flapper girl is very cool ! Those kind of stunts that were done between tall buildings were awfully dangerous and such antics were finally banned. This is ‘Daring’ indeed ! Great job !

her costume is enough to portray her era, great job! if you get the chance, pick up “ascension”, a fabulous book about a highwire family act in the early 1900′s.

Yeah, looking back on this I’m happy that her costume is so very turn-of-the-century, even though my personal illustration style tends to lean towards mid-century-modern. I think It gives it a wee bit of tension. And it isn’t technically historically incorrect – whose to say there wasn’t a childrens book from the sixties, about a circus in the teens?
