ever, of all time
Today I am finishing up work on the Very Big Project. I basically have only a couple drawings left to finish and then I’m done (unless my client decides there’s anything else they need done – which is still pretty possible). Here’s a little sneak peak (that is obscure, and tells you absolutely nothing about what the Project is, or what it looks like, ha). 
In between moving things around in Illustrator, I was downloading songs. The entirety of Stevie Wonder’s 1972 “Talking Book” to be specific. I have decided it is one of the best albums ever, of all time. The cat agreed. Her little ears twitched in time to “Superstitious.” It was the the cutest thing ever, of all time.
The first completely me-less issue of the Press has come out. I ‘m pretty sure the new illustrator Joe put me in his comic, but the gif’s too small for me to read the text and be sure. I’ll have to pick up a copy. It makes me very excited, I was editor all last year and not one comic artist put me in their comic. Joe is my favourite person again (sorry new layout guy who used to work for Fantagraphics).
Futura is the most beautiful thing in the Universe. Even more beautiful (sexy, maybe?) when used appropriately.
Oh, and “Journey Through Secret Life of Plants” is my favourite (and in my opinion, also the best) Stevie Wonder album.
My cat really likes “Pet Sounds” by the Beach Boys – kind of ironically. But he also really likes the Langley Schools Music Project.
To complete the trifecta:
Though you were not pictured in one of my comics, I remember telling you that, in one of the comics, you could be the out-of-panel voice if you wanted to be it. Oh, and I also once saw Joe drown a sack of kittens in Lake Ontario. Serious.
A) Futura is wonderful, I use it all over the website (you may have noticed) but it does look best in certain retro contexts.
B)But talking book has “I believe when I fall in love” the best Stevie Wonder song ever, of all time, and closer to the movie High Fidelity (and do I even need to mention how great that movie is? Do I? And the book too?).
C) If what you say is true than my hierarchy of favouriteness will have to be re-examined. You and new layout guyl might just have to battle to the death for my affection.
Hey now… that’s kind of a one-sided perspective of the actual event. In reality, the cats were very dirty, and once I loaded them into a comfortably sized laundry bag, I proceeded to wash them with care in the luxury of Lake Ontario. Also, that is you that is featured in this comic. I felt bad not having you in there last year, so I thought I’d make it up to you. Good to know I’m back on top though (shakes fist at Travis and new layout guy whose name I have just recently forgotten)
