my living room
My living room is finally starting to shape up nicely (at least in certain corners).
I finished my throw pillows. They’re reversible. Both fabrics are vintage (they were my grandmothers).
These are some super-cute paint-by-numbers that my grandpa painted in the fifties. They hung in his house for as long as I can remember, and now they’re mine. I love them. They’re such nice retro colours too.
This is my new couch!
I love it. It’s kinda of a deep grey flannel/microfiber. It’s new, but it has a vintage look to it. It is a zillion times comfier than our old sofa bed.
Now, we are going to go see X-men 3 for cheap at a matinee (which is the only way to see it, really) and then we are going to come home, I am going to make lots of yummy Italian food, and watch the Godfather 2. I am excited!

Fabulous! The suburb complex in the opening sceen of X-men 3 is minutes away from my house. Crazy.
Beautiful, especially those bright red pillows. What a lovely combination of colors.
Yes, it has turned out nicely – and mostly it’s completly by fluke. I am a firm believer in using what you like, not what co-ordinates best – but it still all works, somehow.
Now go update your blog already Fran!
Very nice! You have great style. I love how you’ve combined the vintage family goods in. Most of my treasures are ones that have been handed down through the family. Many that they were going to throw away!
