back to business
Ok. I’m supposed to write today.
Apparently I have fans.
Well. Fine then:
Kaylee is doing better. She is in fact cuddled up in my knees as I write this, keeping me warm - since it’s been pretty unseasonably cold here. We have to keep taking her back to the vet every few days - but the intervals in between visits get longer and longer as she gets better and better. Which is good.
Thanks to everyone who has wished her good health, by the way. Much appreciated. Kaylee says meow. Which means thank you.
The past few weeks have been-busy-busy.
On top of the kittie’s illness, Liam’s childhood best friend visited from the west coast (where he works on set of Battlestar Galactica!!! Allowing for quite a bit of nerding out, let me tell you) and we got him pretty much all to ourselves for a few days, which was a nice treat.
Then, all of a sudden, Liam got the call for a real, live, nine-to-five job!
Then, a week into that job, he got a call for a second, better, real, live, nine-to-five job! A copy-writing job! I get to be the well-heeled girlfriend of an ad-man! So he had to politely quit the first, and today is his first day at the second. Pretty much a whirlwind of events.
Other than that I’ve been learning about printing methods (specifically, old fashioned letterpress) and visiting some artists studios - it says a lot about me, I think, that I find the concept of having your very own big industrial space crammed with junk and mess the ultimate in glamour and sophistication.
There’s also been family gatherings, in celebration of Easter, and in anticipation of my cousin’s upcoming wedding (the first of our younger generation to get married), and well… other stuff that I’ve already forgotten probably. It’s been chaotic for sure.
I’m looking forward to getting back to a routine now - hopefully the kind of routine I spoke about here, with a few interesting additions maybe. Rock climbing? Voice lessons? Volunteering at the Library? Finding and fixing up an old bicycle and riding it around town? A part-time job at a local shop? I dunno, something though.

I had a dream last night that you and katie f, were buying a pumpkin for me, and Liam kept wearing an old Cylon mask and you were happy that your cat was feeling better.
THis was after i had systematically wiped out a zombie horde with an axe make of chocolate.
