Yesterday night, Liam suprised me and brought home a bag of fresh mussels, french wine and garlic bread. I don’t really think there’s anything more romantic than that. Or the gorgeous perfume that filled the house after steaming those juicy little shellfish open in a winey, garlicy broth so that their delicious internal liquid spills out into the sauce….

Oh my goodness. I have recently begun eating shellfish (and all sorts of fish) and this sounds absolutely decadent. I hope to one day have moules frites at the source, in Belgium!
Why doesn’t Liam ever do this for me?
It took him five years to do this for me. Maybe in another couple years you two’s relationship will have peaked and he’ll bring you home scampi and chianti.
