reason six billion and one I love Barack Obama

I just added him as a flickr friend. He’s so web 2.0!

I would also like an Obama 08 t-shirt at some point, because I think his campaign logo (you know, the O with the swoop?) is some of the sexiest logo design I have ever seen. I like this version, in particular (but for the record, I also like this one, which has nothing to do with politics, it’s just super cute).

Gah. I wish I was American so I could vote in their exciting, history making election instead of our boring, boring, boring and depressing one.

Stephen and Stephane’s respective charisma combined couldn’t match the charisma found in Obama’s left pinkie.

I wonder if Canadians could secretly subvert the American electoral system by going in and taking advantage of lax polling systems… hopefully they exist in some bordering states…

    wow, so awesome!

I don’t know. It’s not like accepting/rejecting the Green Shift isn’t the biggest decision the Canadian public has faced since Free Trade.

Meanwhile: There are bird-excrement attacks on Dion, economic apocalypsi all around, billboards comparing Harper to Bush, Layton forgetting what the D in NDP stands for and Elizabeth May calling Canadians stupid stupidheads.

I investigated the Barack Obama thing today, and apparently it’s just some white woman who loves him… and takes pictures of him. Haha. Oh well. I did like how cute it was, “I am MALE and TAKEN.” tee hee.

(I think she must work the campaign trail… there are over 35,000 images on there!)

Um… Christine? It is Barack Obama’s Flickr, he’s just a bit too busy, you know, running for president to upload pictures himself.

More specifically, it’s the BarackObama.com’s official flickr account for the whole campaign. I’m well aware it’s not actually him taking the photos, (he’s in too many of them) but they are taken by a whole bunch of people from the campaign. On a single day there’ll be pictures from Minnesota, and Louisiana and Rhode Island. In other words, it’s not just some random lady, because nobody can be in 20 places at once.

And Lauren: most of that stuff happened before I made my post, and my feelings on the actual politics and parties of the election are a bit different than how I feel about the candidates, but you can’t tell me that Stephan and Stephane are in any way intriguing personalities, or charismatic in the slightest.

Plus most of what has gone on so far has been pretty petty and navel gazing so far. I wish it weren’t true, but there you go.
