I love love love the autumn, and I actually don’t mind the grey months of the winter. Admittedly, by February I’m like “Arrrghhhh slush!!!”

Sometimes I think I prefer winter because I have a stellar cold-weather wardrobe and a shitty summer one. I just don’t bother buying summer-appropriate clothing because summer only lasts for 4 months. And then you’re all sweaty anyway and your hair frizzes. My self-esteem plummets in the summer. This may also be connected to the fact that I have traditionally waitressed in the summer, which is a soul-sucking practice to be avoided.

I haven’t, but really the best thing to do is run out and buy You Grow Girl. It’s an awesome, awesome book, and was written by a girl from Parkdale with a balcony container garden - so you know she knows what’s she’s talking about.

It’s a little late to start anything right now, but definitely the time to start thinking about growing a garden - I have definitely learned that getting started early is ideal.

hey, I was gonna ask you if you have ever done a “how to make a apartment garden” journal post and I missed it.

Because I admire the products of your garden and I would like to start my own next year, but how does one go about these things?

there is this whole road of orchards up in brampton that still have lot’s of fruit on their apples trees. if you can find someone with a car to take you, i strongly recommend it.
