links

Fun ways to skidaddle. Most of these blogs don’t update anymore, but I still love the people who made them. It’s ok, because Link pages are really a relic of different time. I’m keeping this up for posterity’s sake.

friends’ blogs

most importantly: my husband has a blog.
He rarely updates it though. He should, because he is the bestest writer there is.

blanket fort
Kirsten is a lovely artist, and super creative mama, of the most adorable baby girl you-ever-did-see. I was lucky enough to get to know because she went to high school with my husband. Neat, huh?

bougy/bisous
For about a split second, I worked for Torontoist and while there, I came to know the ever-stylish Paige, who also worked there (at the time). She really likes nail polish. Like, a whole lot. Which I have to admit, I thought was kinda crazy. At first. Now I totally get it.

dude, I like things
This is Vivian’s website, where she (and her friends) espouse the benefits of many a thing. I love Vivian, and I miss her, because she moved to Portland, where I have always wanted to live (so I am also super jealous of her).

kayla marie hillier dot com
Kayla is amazingly talented in too many ways to mention, but right now she is focusing her attention on her charming little webcomic.

loobylu
Claire has one of my all time favorites blogs, well rounded with softies, illustrations, and adorable little girls. The day she linked to me, was the day I exploded with happiness.

my million dollar movie: the blog
Casey is a director (which is awesome in and of itself) but he also has this awesome plan to make a movie, that you should check out (also, I designed this blog! yay me!).

mondo robot
Pisiak could be called punk rocker, but he creates ultra-modern illustration and… robots

noise photography
Alex is definitely a punk rocker who takes pictures of old wrinkly punk rockers.

put a fork in it
Kristina is a super talented chef, who always has something interesting to share about food. We actually went to high school together, but didn’t know each other until we met later on the internet. Weird, huh?

say it with pie
Karen and I hate all the same things – what better reason is there to be blogger friends?

smartarded
Travis Nicholson is a highly entertaining fellow. He wasn’t blogging for a while, but now he is again and it makes me happy (although I still miss his cartoons).

the small joys
Jeannette (also known as kickpleat, also known as Everybody Likes Sandwiches)is an illustrator like me, and is one of the best blogger friends a blogger could have. She has actually won a bloggie, she is that amazingly talented.

thimble
Laural is a local Toronto gal who I’ve been following for a long time. She is the very craftiest of the crafties, and is always sharing lots of links to tutorials, and all kinds of fun things to make.

this is temporary
Everybody I know says Christine is their favourite person. She is the definition of a sweetheart.

the wrath of shaan
Shaan kicks ass, takes names. He introduced me to shabu-shabu AND the Venture brothers on the same night, and for that I will forever be indebted to him.
